Chelsea Set Secure £25m Quick-fire 3nd Signing After N’Golo Kante Deal

After the acquistions of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille and N’Golo Kante from Leicester City, Antonio Conte has some new different targets for his team ahead of the new season. And with Roman Abramovich still ready to support the club financially, the Italian can spend as much as he wants to give the Blues a chance of winning a trophy next season.

Yesterday there were reports about the possibility of Chelsea signing Riyad Mahrez, after reports emerged that the Algerian has rejected Leicester City’s offer of a new contract. And there are other reports claiming that Antonio Conte wants Andre Gomes, the Portuguese midfielder who had a great season with Valencia and a great European Championship with his national team.

As for today, media in England have a new name for Chelsea on their reports. This time German centre back Shkodran Mustafi is said to be on his way to the Stamford Bridge.

In the just concluded France 2016 Euro cup, he scored the opening goal for Germany in the match against Ukraine in a 2-0 win for the Germans.

Mustafi, who is a regular starter for Valencia in La Liga, is valued at £25 million and according to reports, Chelsea are comfortable playing the price to bring the German to West London. He has also been linked recently with a move to Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool which is an indication that he is good.

The Blues however have a better chance of signing the powerful defender ahead of the other interested clubs. Leicester and Arsenal may have the lure of Champions League to attract the 24-year-old but can’t pay as much wage as the The Blues.

I personally believe Chelsea have a great chance of signing Mustafi if the reports of their interest is any way true. With John Terry being not young anymore and Zouma coming back from a bad injury, Mustafi would be a remarkable signing for Chelsea.
