Arsene Wenger is hoping to bolster his attacking option ahead of next season and a long list of players have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Julian Draxler appears to be the next Arsene Wenger signing. The former Schalke 04 attacker has been constantly linked with a move to Arsenal and, with Walcott not doing particularly well, it appears Wenger is interested in the World Cup winner again this summer.
According to latest reports, the Emirates club are set to pay the asking price to land the services of Draxler. The price Wenger is said to be ready to pay is £50m.
According to the official twitter account of Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, the Arsenal boss is very keen on signing the former Schalke playmaker.
Wenger isn’t giving up Draxler despite reports. Player keen on the move but Wolfsburg don’t want to sell. Arsenal willing to pay up to £50m

Whether Giulianelli is telling the truth or not, we will never know. However, it will not be a surprise if Wenger signs the German. He has been one of the players linked with a move to Arsenal the most. And with Wenger not able to get a striker so far, it would not surprise me if he signs Draxler and converts him to a Robin van Persie type of striker.
Draxler is in my opinion a striker that is been wasted on the right wing. He has done incredibly well while playing on the wings or in the number 10 role, but I personally believe his best position is upfront as a false nine.
If Arsenal manages to pull off his signing, it will be a massive masterstroke by the Gunners. His versatility means he will be a threat to Theo Walcott’s first team chances and I doubt Arsenal fans will care if the German ousts Walcott from the first team.
