According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, La Liga champions FC Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for Chelsea target Arda Turan at the right price – £23m being the right price here.
The same publication states that the Catalan club is ready to sell Turan if any club meets their asking price for the player, otherwise the Spanish club will keep him at the Camp Nou.
The Turkey international midfielder joined the Spanish club in a £29 million transfer from capital city club Atletico Madrid last summer. The midfielder still has four years left on his current contract at Barcelona.
The Barcelona attacker has reportedly attracted interest from top clubs across Europe with English Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Juventus and Borussia Dortmund all closely watching the player’s situation at the Catalan club.
According to the Sun, Chelsea and Arsenal are battling each other for the signature of the Barcelona attacker, especially now that his club would be ready to accept a reduced fee of £23 million for him.
However, the Barcelona midfielder is reportedly happy at Barcelona, according to his agent Ahmet Bulut, who hinted that his client wants to remain and fight for a starting shirt at the Camp Nou.
But again, it doesn’t totally depend on the player. Madrid and Barca are known for making deals happen quickly when they want to sign or sell a player and it will not be a surprise if Turan is playing in England by the time the new season starts.
