West Ham United Odds On To Sign £40,000-A-Week Star

According to the popular bookmaker BetVictor.com, east London club West Ham United are favourites to secure the signing of Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.

Bookmakers BetVictor.com have West Ham United in at evens to secure the signature of the Dutchman, despite the Hammers clearly being in no need to bolster their goalkeeping department.

The bookies also have Merseyside club Everton priced at 2/1, Middlesbrough at 3/1 and south London club Crystal Palace at 6/1 in the race to sign the Newcastle goal-tender, who is expected to depart the relegated team after their demotion to the second tier of English football.

At the moment, there is no report linking the £40,000 a week goalkeeper to the Hammers, which won’t be a surprise to West Ham’s faithful fans, given that the Slaven Bilic’s side has two quality goalkeepers in the squad already.

Could BetVictor.com be privy to some insider information? This is very possible. The bookmakers always have insiders. An example of this was when, in June, Skybet revealed they had suspended bets on Jamie Vardy joining Arsenal due to spikes of big bets, only for the news to break the next day that Arsenal has triggered the release clause of the English striker.

Tim Krul, 28, only played 8 games for Newcastle last season, after injury ruined his campaign. On his return, he was relegated him to the bench to watch on helplessly as Rafa Benitez’s side got relegated from the Barclays Premier League.

The Dutchman is seen as one of the most promising goaltenders in the English Premier League and, at the age of 28, has a lot more years to play at the top level.
