According to the official website of Chelsea Football Club, Nigeria and Chelsea central defender Kenneth Omeruo has been dropped from the club’s pre-season squad that made the journey to Austria.
The young Nigeria defender has been left out of the travelling party to Austria, despite having being seen training with his Chelsea team-mates at the club’s Cobham training ground recently.
Various reports earlier last week had claimed the 22-year-old Nigerian is set to undergo a medical with the Besiktas later this week and that the move is almost completed. This could well be why Conte has left the Nigerian out of the pre-season tour.
The Chelsea youngster is no stranger to the Turkish League, having spent last campaign on loan at Turkish club Kasimpasa.
Turkish club Besiktas would be the biggest club the defender has been loaned to should he seal the move as expected. Next season, Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas will play Uefa Champions League football.
