Manchester United Keen On Signing £38m-Rated Chelsea & Arsenal Target

Italian newspaper Il Messaggero ( as reported by Sportwitness ) has pulled Premier League giant Manchester United into the Kostas Manolas rumour in their Friday edition. Well, it is widely known and accepted that Manchester United could do with another centre back despite signing Eric Bailly this summer.

With reports claiming Daley Blind may be leaving and Phil Jones still as injury prone as ever, it is not hard to see why Jose Mourinhon could be interested in signing Kostas Manolas.

Manolas has been linked with signing for Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea so far this summer which is not a surprise considering he is such a quality defender.

According to Il Messagero in their Friday edition, Manchester United’s interest in the player is firm, referring to the move a ‘concrete objective’ of the Manchester club. This is despite reports claiming both Arsenal and Chelsea have offeres on the table for the Greece international centre back.

Il Messaggero also states that Serie A giant Roma are not willing to sell, at least for now, despite big money offers from the English Premier League. This is so because of the existing of a clause in Manolas’ contract which means Roma will have to share at ration 50/50 whatever transfer fee is generated with Manolas’ previous club Olympiacos.

According to the Express, Roma are demanding as much as £38 million for the player.
