Kante Done, Kalidou Koulibaly Next At Stamford Bridge

West London club Chelsea have agreed a deal with Premier League champions Leicester City for France midfielder N’Golo Kante for a transfer fee of £30m, with defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Serie A side Napoli set to join the French man at the Bridge.

The Premier League champions have accepted defeat in their struggle to hold on to Kante and the Blues wrapping up the deal last night that will see the midfielder  sign a 5 year deal with a reported basic wage of £150,000 weekly.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte believes the Frenchman could be the West London club’s best signing of the summer transfer window, as he is expected to provide the much-needed energy and strength in the Chelsea midfield. Kante, 25, was one of Leicester’s best performers in the English Premier League last term, and also performed well for host nation France at the recently concluded Euro 2016.

Kante who is expected to displace Nemanja Matic from the Chelsea team was offered a new £100,000-a-week contract at Leicester,  in favour of a move to Chelsea. Reports have it that up next for the Blues in the transfer market is the purchase of Arsenal target Kalidou Koulibaly who is rated at £35m.

With John Terry ageing and doubts hanging on the head of Gary Cahill and Terry ageing and on his last contract with Chelsea, it is just reasonable for Conte to want to sign a another centre back and Kalidou Koulibaly who was one of the best defenders in teh Serie A last season surely seems a good choice.

He is young, strong, face and reliable. He will be the sort of player Chelsea needs to to replace John Terry on the long term. A defender that is rated as one of the best in a league that is known to be defensive as the Serie A must truly be good.

And Chelsea signing him ahead of Arsenal will be particularly interesting for their fans.
