Chelsea Set To Complete £70m Double Swoop, CB And Midfielder On The Way

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking to reinforce his current Chelsea squad with defensive and midfield options, having signed Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi from Olympique Marseille earlier in the summer.

The Sun is reporting that Chelsea are closing in on completing the signing of £70 million worth duo of Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante and Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Reports today suggest Leicester City and Chelsea have agreed a deal for £29 million for the Frenchman.

France international midfielder N’Golo Kante played a pivotal role in Leicester victorious 2015/2016 premier League campaign and was named in the PFA team of the year.

Should the Frenchman eventually complete a shock move to West London, he will most likely replace the unsettled Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic in the starting eleven next season. Report has it that Premier League rival Manchester United are closely monitoring his situation at the London club.

Senegalese center half Koulibaly, 25, who was an important member of the Napoli team last season and is rated at about £35 million, is expected to replace ageing club veteran and captain John Terry in Chelsea’s starting eleven next season. Although Chelsea will have competition for his signature in both Everton and Arsenal.

Here is Chelsea likely line up next season with Kante and Koulibaly in the squad.
