Bid Accepted, Chelsea Reach Agreement To Sign Arsenal & Man United Target

According to a report by the SUN who they themselves are citing reports from France, Chelsea have had a bid accepted by Leicester City for the signing of N’Golo Kante.

According to the report by the SUN, Chelsea and Leicester City have agreed a transfer fee of £29 million, which is £9 million more than Kante’s widely reported release clause. Kante was one of Leicester City’s best players last season as the Claudio Ranieri tutored side ran away with the Premier League title.

His wonderful performance for the Foxes earned him a place in the PFA team of the year and it is not a surprise he is been linked with big money move away from the King Power stadium.

Arsenal, PSG and Chinese club Shanghai SIPG have all been linked with the signing of the Frenchman according to various reports, not just that of the SUN, Chelsea are now clear favorites for the signature of the player. His versatility will be useful to Chelsea in many ways.
He can play in the defensive midfield role and as well as a creative midfielder. Last season and even before last season, Chelsea struggled whenever Matic is not playing but by signing Kante, they will have someone who is not only to be a reliable back up to the Serbian but one who is also able to oust him ( Matic ) from the first team.
Signing Kante will be a sort of a double edged sword for Chelsea in that it will make Chelsea stronger and weaken their direct rivals Leicester City and those who have been linked with his signing in the Premier League.
