Official Announcement Of 3rd Arsenal Signing Delayed, Agent Reveals Reason

Last month, Nigeria youngster Kelechi Nwakali revealed via his twitter and facebook account that he is already an Arsenal player but till date the deal has not been announced due to the player’s commitment with the Nigeria under 20 team.

This much has been revealed by the player’s brother and agent Allwell Nwakali while talking to All Nigeria soccer ( quote via daily star );

“Any moment from now we will go to Arsenal, they can’t allow him go now because of the narrow victory in the [Afcon Under-20 qualifier] first leg against Sudan”

“We can’t betray the coach (Amuneke) because he has been helping us in the past.”

The Nigerian was the best player at the last FIFA under 17 world cup in Chile in 2015. He captained Nigeria to success at the biannul FIFA youth tournament. Reports claim Arsenal have given him the number 25 shirt which is an indication that he could be playing for the first team next season.

Although many have likened him to former Arsenal star and Nigeria legend Nwankwo Kanu, I personally believe he is more like former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira. Just like Vieira, he is able to play as a defensive midfielder, a box to box midfielder and as well as a 10.

The FIFA under 17 world cup winner has a bright future ahead of him and with Wenger notorious for giving youngsters a chance ot impress in Arsenal’s first team, Kelechi surely have made a good decision by choosing Arsenal ahead of other clubs that were interested in him.

He now only needs to keep his head low, wait for his time, take the coaches advise and he will become great.
