Tottenham On The Verge Of Signing €24m Liverpool Target After Successful Talks

When you are playing in the Champions League, capital One cup, FA Cup and the tedious Premier league, you certainly could do with a big squad. Hence it is not a surprise that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is still keen on adding to his Tottenham squad despite having completed the signing of Victor Wanyama and center forward Vincent Janssen.

Mauricio Pochettino reportedly still have his eyes on couple of midfielders and one of them is Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze who is said to be frustrated with life with the Bavarian and is ready to consider whatever offer his made for his services.

Although Liverpool, Arsenal and Dortmund have all been linked with the signing of the world cup winner, reports claim the player favours a move to Tottenham. This much is reported by Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli. Giulianelli reckons the 24-year-old former Dortmund star is not ready to move to Dortmund and is instead keen on joining Tottenham. Which if true will be a surprise considering he was expected to go to Liverpool and reunite with his former manager Jurgen Klopp.

According to Giulianelli, Gotze’s father has held talks with officials from Spurs. The player is said to be happy with the feedback from his dad after discussion was held and is on the verge of agreeing personal terms with the club.

According to British daily Independent, Bayern Munich are demanding €24 million for Gotze which considering the amount of money other players have been sold for shouldn’t be a problem for Tottenham Hotspurs.

  1. The distress of missing out on him will be unbearable. Set Euro 2016 alight. Funny how all the Joe Allen jokes have dries up – he did better there than Gerard Rooney etc ever achieved at a major tournament.
