Road Clears For Manchester United To Complete Paul Pogba Signing

The road to sign Paul Pogba has gotten a lot easier for Manchester United. According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid has backed out of the race to acquire the Juventus midfielder because the financial commitment was just too high for the Spanish club.

Manchester United’s superior financial strength has given them an edge in negotiations for Paul Pogba. Unless Madrid or Barca comes in for the player in the last minute, it appears we will see Pogba playing for Manchester United again next season.

According to Skysports Pogba would cost the Red Devils a fee in the range of €125 million euros, a fee that will smash the British record. If the Red Devils are able to finalize a deal to bring Paul Pobga to Old Trafford, it is rumored that his salary will be in the €13 million euros per season range.

The signing of the 23 year old French starlet would be the third big signing of the transfer window for Manchester United (after Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan).

Signing Paul Pogba will definitely make Manchester United a threat in both the Premier League once again. His signing will send a massive statement of intent to the club’s rivals but let’s face it, the whole debacle has shown what a massive mistake Sir Alex made letting the Frenchman leave the club in the first place.

Having said that, it must also be said that it will be interesting to see an English club finally be able to beat Real Madrid to the signing of a player. Thanks to the new TV money, the English clubs can now compete against the likes of Real Madrid, Barca, PSG and Bayern Munich.

A player such as Paul Pogba is not only a massive boost to Manchester United but as well as the Premier League as a whole.
