Work Permit Application Sent, Liverpool Close In On £21m Signing

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is trying hard to add some important talents to his current Liverpool squad, to this end the Reds are being linked to the signing of Benfica Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca.

The Daily star, citing Portuguese news outlet O Jojo, reckons Liverpool are in advanced negotiations with the club of the £21m-Rated Talisca and according to the Daily Star, they have already applied to get a work permit for the 22 year old.

Talisca is a very versatile player. He plays mostly as an attacking midfielder but he can also fit beautifully on the wings in Jurgen Klopp’s formation.

He initially started off his career in Brazil where he made his debut for Bahia before then moving to Portuguese club Benfica for a £3.5 million transfer fee back in 2014. The move has worked out wonderfully for both sides as Talisca scored 20 goals in 2 years for Benfica helping them win back-to-back league and cup titles.

The highly rated attacker has played at the Under 21 level for Brazil but never appeared in a senior team game meaning he would not qualify for a standard work permit in England. This means that Liverpool might have to apply for a ‘special talent’s ’ Visa for him.

If they sign the player but fail on getting him a work permit, they will then have to loan him out to another European club in the meantime.

This summer, Jurgen Klopp has been looking to strengthen his club and already signed Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic and more recently Sadio Mane of Southampton. Talisca seems to be the next on the German coach’s list.
