Arsenal got their preseason off to a good start after beating Everton 3-1 to win the Barclays Asia Trophy hosted in Singapore.
The Gunners rested many key figures in their 4-0 victory over the select Singapore XI but brought out all their stars like the debuting Petr Cech, Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott and more to face Everton, who had beaten Stoke City on penalties to reach the final.
Eventually, Arsenal were too strong for the Toffees as goals from Walcott, Cazorla and Ozil all but sealed the tie before a Ross Barkley consolation added the fourth goal of the game.
