Stoke City have signed striker Joselu for £5.75 million from German club Hannover 96.
The Spanish international is only 25, but has already made multiple moves in his career, playing for Spanish clubs Celta and Real Madrid, followed by transfers to German teams 1899 Hoffenheim and Hannover 96 before finally making a move to the Premier League.
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes said of the signing:
“Joselu is excited about testing himself in the Premier League and we’re delighted to have him with us. He has skills and attributes that are different to what we already have within the squad but will complement the attacking players we already have at our disposal.”
Joselu scored eight goals in 30 appearances for Hannover last season, and is now the third signing Stoke City has made already, along with defender Philipp Wollscheid from Bayer Leverkusen and Danish keeper Jakob Haugaard.
