Is Dani Alves heading to Manchester United?

According to a Guardian report, Manchester United looks to be in pole position to sign Dani Alves on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old fullback will be available on a free transfer after his contract expires this summer.

PSG are also closely monitoring his position, however Laurent Blanc seems convinced that Alves will remain at Barcelona.

This is with good reason, as there is increasing pressure on the board from Barcelona fans and players alike to keep Alves. Lionel Messi even came out and said, “Dani Alves is the best fullback in the world.”

Alves would be a shrewd signing for Louis Van Gaal’s side.

With Antonio Valencia being played out of position, and Rafael’s injury troubles, signing a recognized world class right-back would signal a strong intent on a title push for next season.
