No, I don’t mean that Liverpool have gotten smarter.
On Tuesday, the club confirmed two new contract extensions:
Kolo Toure and Andre Wisdom have signed new contracts at Liverpool. 12 month deal for Toure. Wisdom commits until 2019.

After spending time on loan with West Bromwich Albion and performing less than exceptionally, Liverpool apparently still see a promising future in Andre Wisdom. And according to the Daily Mail, Wisdom is expected to be the club’s starting right back ahead of the 2015/2016 season, pushing Emre Can into the midfield and edging out Glen Johnson who could be on his way out of the club.
However, it shouldn’t be surprising that Liverpool are keeping Kolo Toure for another year. Although he won’t be expected to start regularly, he can provide experience and stability as a backup for next season’s starters.
