Manchester United interested in Harry Kane

After a breakout season playing up front for Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane is considered a top target for Manchester United.

The 21-year-old has scored 30 goals in all competitions – the first Spurs striker to accomplish the feat since Gary Lineker – and finished second behind Eden Hazard for PFA Player of the Year capping off a remarkable full debut season.

As a result of his spectacular season, United are expected to pay upwards of £45 million to have any chance of signing the Tottenham man.

The asking price is very high especially for a player who has just performed for one season but with Wayne Rooney coming off a low goal tally, Robin van Persie fighting injuries all year and Radamel Falcao likely to go back to AS Monaco this summer, Kane may be a serious target.

Additionally, with Rooney about to enter his thirties and van Persie turning 32, the thought of having a young Englishman taking over could seem very appealing to manager Louis van Gaal and the fans at Old Trafford along with the rising 19-year-old James Wilson.
