Raheem Sterling tells Liverpool he wants to leave

According to the BBC, Raheem Sterling is expected to tell Liverpool that he wants to leave the club.

The England international – currently earning £35,000 a week – has already rejected a £100,000 a week contract from Liverpool and has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in recent months.

Sterling even denied he was a money grabber in a previous BBC interview and stated that it was all about trophies for him and with Liverpool enduring another trophyless season with no Champions League football next season, the former QPR player could be on the move this summer.

With his contract expiring in 2017, Liverpool don’t need to sell Sterling but it is believed that their resolve will be tested with a bid in the region of £35 million.
