3 realistic goalkeeper targets for Arsenal

Wojciech Szczesny had a great 2014 with Arsenal – he was the joint Golden Glove winner alongside Petr Cech, he got an FA Cup medal as the Gunners finally ended a trophy drought and he started in the club’s 3-0 Community Shield win over Manchester City.

However, he failed to replicate the same form this season and after the Southampton debacle, he has remained second choice to the Colombian summer signing, David Ospina.

As a result, Szczesny hasn’t played a league game since January as Arsene Wenger has put his faith in Ospina who despite seeming to be a breath of fresh air, hasn’t fully consolidated his place as the starting goalkeeper.

As a departure for Szczesny may be more likely, we take a look at three goalkeepers who could realistically join the Gunners to provide Ospina competition or to even replace him as the man between the sticks.
