Chelsea’s Fernando Torres joins Milan on a permanent deal

Fernando Torres is set to join AC Milan on a permanent deal on January 5th. The Spaniard had initially joined the Serie A side on a two year loan deal, scoring just once in 10 games so far.

The 30-year-old joined Chelsea in January 2011 from Liverpool in a £50 million deal where he became the Blues’ record signing. While he failed to replicate his form from Anfield, Torres helped Chelsea win the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League during his time at the club.

Torres will leave England having scored 65 league goals in 102 games for Liverpool and 20 league goals in 110 games for Chelsea.
