Arsene Wenger has been given a huge fitness boost as his side prepare for the hectic festive period. The Gunners have played most of the season with key players injured and with 4 games to be played in the next 9 days, the Frenchman has revealed that a number of players have returned from injury.
“From Sunday [Against Liverpool] I think everybody should be fit and available. We might have [Tomas] Rosicky back in the squad and [Yaya] Sanogo back in the squad,” Wenger said. “[Hector] Bellerin, I don’t know yet, but certainly Rosicky and Sanogo will be available.”
Wenger also revealed that David Ospina is available for selection after returning from injury while Laurent Koscielny could feature against West Ham on Sunday.
“The closest at the moment is Koscielny. I believe he’s a bit short for Friday, maybe has a chance for Sunday.”
Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Mikel Arteta are on course to be fit but won’t play until January while Theo Walcott could make an appearance in the next few games.
“He [Walcott] had only two days training with the team, I will see how he is this week. But fitness-wise he is not far. It is more that Theo has basically not played since January, so it has been a year.”
